Hello November! ?
Just like that Halloween ghost, October vanished into thin air. Time to trade pumpkins for turkeys and pretend we're not already eyeing the holiday cookies!
|
This month, we bring you exciting updates from recent events, including a full report from the GSoC Mentor Summit, the latest changes in our community's organization, and insights into our ongoing rover project.

Report from GSoC Summit
One of this year’s summer project mentors, Husseinat, represented LibreCube at the Google Summer of Code Summit in Sunnyvale, California, from October 4-6. This year’s event celebrated the 20th anniversary of Google Summer of Code, bringing together 217 attendees from 37 countries, along with 12 Google volunteers, at the Google complex. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with global open-source contributors and commemorate two decades of impactful collaboration and innovation!

New Regular Meetings
We will introduce weekly tech meetings that are open to everyone in the community to join and discuss about ongoing developments, tools we use, experience to share, and any other question:
|
In addition we intend to run bi-weekly social meetings. They will be on Fridays. Exact times to be announced in the chat. Same meeting link as above.

|
New Task Tracker
You may have already noticed that we switched from the self-hosted OpenProject to GitLab for task tracking. From now on, this will be our main place to organize on who is doing what.

Rover Project Status
With the goal to make it easier for others to reproduce the rover model (that is, build one by yourself), we updated the documentation on these repositories:
|
Next, this also will be done for the Communications and Processing Module. For this and other related upcoming developments, please regularly check the task board and the documentation.
